Where/How did you meet?: We met walking our dogs.
How did he propose?: Jeremy had a dozen long stemmed roses delivered to work and the card said "today is a new day". I was having a rough week so I thought he was just being sweet. I went home after work and went to lay down to relax and he brought up a pint of my favorite ice cream (chocolate fudge brownie). Again still thinking it was being I had a bad week I opened it up and there was a scooped out hole in it and my engagement ring sitting in it. He got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him.
How long were you engaged?: We were engaged from Feb 4, 2011 to March 10, 2012 when we got married.
What was the most important part of planning the wedding for you?: The most important part of the planning was for the wedding to reflect Jeremy and I and to not stress
What was the most difficult part?: The most difficult part was not having family in town to be able to shop with, etc. There was a lot of emailing, texting, and calling.
What was your theme, if you had one?: The only theme for the wedding and overall goal was to make our wedding like a huge party for everyone.
What vendors did you use?: Photographer – Forever Photography by Kylene Ceremony and Reception venue – Pebble Hill Plantation and UNO Hill Barn at Pebble Hill Cake Designer – Artistic Confections Bartending – Lisa’s Bartenders Rentals – Party Party Party Manis/Pedis morning of wedding – Millenium Nail and Day Spa Limo for bachelorette party – Top Hat Limos
What advice would you give a current bride?: The advice that I would give a current bride, which I did myself was to say the day before and day of to not stress. What happens is going to happen and to focus more on the memories and enjoying yourself.
Would you change anything if you could go back?: The only thing I would change would be to have a check list of at the very beginning of what I wanted and to take care of it as early as possible, but for the most part, I feel like I had the most amazing wedding a bride could ask for.
What was your favorite part of the wedding day?: I wouldn't have asked for it to go any other way, but if I had to chose it would be walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Jeremy for the first time.
